All that we consume, especially visually in the mainstream media, encourages and romanticises androcentric ideals and moulds the minds of the mass. Through the project, I attempted to rethink the patriarchal narrative built for women that sidelines their lives into a domestic space that is ideal for procreation and serving. The five short videos respond to the expectations of women by using domestic space and its resources and the outdoors—when women leave the space that the man's world claims is safe.
The short videos are played on loop, taking the form of video advertisements on a television set in a living room with a remote control that would allow one to change the channel but only to watch the same on all channels.
